Vistara makes final landing after nine years in service

By Santosh

After nine years in business, Indian full-service airline Vistara will run its final flight on Monday.

Vistara, a joint venture between Singapore Airlines and the Tata Sons, will combine with Air India, which is owned by Tata, to become a single company with a larger fleet and network.

This implies that all Vistara activities, including ticketing offices and help desk kiosks, will be moved to and run by Air India.

Over the past six months, the process of moving passengers with current Vistara reservations and loyalty programs to Air India has been underway.

Fans, branding experts, and aviation professionals have criticized Vistara's decision to remove the Vistara brand because of its devoted client base and stellar scores for food, service, and cabin condition.

According to aviation analysts, the consolidation successfully cleaned up Vistara's accounts and eliminated its deficits.
