The practice of UK airports charging cars more to drop off passengers has drawn criticism.
According to the RAC, since last summer, more than a third of major airports have raised the cost of trips known as "kiss and fly" by £1.
Usually, there are fees associated with dropping someone off as close to a terminal as feasible.
Rod Dennis, senior policy officer at RAC, stated: "It's gloomy. It is almost absurd to have to pay £5, £6, or even £7 for the shortest of stops in order to just open the boot and remove some luggage for a friend or loved one."
The RAC found that the only airports still providing free drop-offs were Cardiff, Inverness, and London City.
The fees are typically added to the fares of passengers dropped off at airports by taxis and private hire cars, according to the RAC.
