By Newsroom | The Congress Party's Rahul Gandhi and his cousin - Varun Gandhi - who is a lawmaker with the rival BJP, met briefly at the Hindu religious site of Kedarnath.
The meeting triggered some political speculation, as the two rarely meet. Varun Gandhi, in recent times, has not been in sync with the policies adopted by the BJP.
Media reports quoting sources said their meeting was very short but warm. They said Rahul was very happy meeting Varun's daughter and family.
The meeting took place at the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand. Rahul is on a three-day visit to the state, while Varun and his family were visiting the temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
