Bomb threats were sent to over 70 planes operated by different airlines across India on Thursday, reports in the media said.
According to the sources, Akasa Air has received threats for roughly 14 flights, while Air India, Vistara, and IndiGo have received threats for about 20 flights each.
Nearly 250 Indian flights have received bomb threats over 11 days.
According to a representative for Akasa Air, security alerts have been issued for a few of its flights scheduled to operate on October 24.
K Rammohan Naidu, India's minister of civil aviation, stated earlier this week that the government intends to implement legislative measures to address bomb threats to airlines, including placing anyone who made such threats on the no-fly list.
