Foreign visitors are now permitted to take free pre-wedding photos at the renowned Angkor Archaeological Park dressed in traditional attire, according to Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia.
The move aims to draw foreign tourists to the East Asian nation and promote the UNESCO-listed world heritage site.
Permission is no longer needed from the site's management organization, Apasara, but media outlets still need permission to film there, even though admission is free.
However, commercial photo shoots, film, and drone photography are not always free.
There are ninety-one historic temples in the 401 square kilometer Angkor Archaeological Park, which dates back to the ninth and thirteenth centuries.
Sales of tickets to the site brought in around $27.2 million between January and July this year.
